\nISSA signed onto a letter to the Minnesota Senate Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee opposing <\/strong>legislation that would \u201cimpose broad reporting requirements on manufacturers of all products containing PFAS sold in Minnesota, ban the sale of products containing PFAS in a variety of product categories and establish a future regulatory scheme to ban additional product categories containing PFAS.\u201d Learn more<\/a><\/p>\n

\nOn January 4, 2023, the Department of Health in Canada published a final rule that significantly revises the nation\u2019s Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR) to more closely align with the 7th edition of the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The HPR is Canada\u2019s federal regulation that sets forth the classification, labeling, and Safety Data Sheet requirements for hazardous products, including cleaning products, intended to be used, handled, or stored in workplaces in Canada. \nThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency notified pesticide registrants that the new pesticide registration service fees and decision timeframes specified in the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act of 2022 (PRIA 5) went into effect on February 27, 2023. Pesticide registration service fee tables in FIFRA section 33(b)(3)(B) are updated by PRIA 5, which also specifies that the fee tables will become effective 60 days after the date of enactment.
